Today we looked at one of the more perplexing statements that Jesus made in John's gospel. What did He mean by commanding us to eat His flesh and drink His blood?
[One correction from the message: After the Second Vatican Council (that began in 1962 and ended in 1965) Catholics were allowed to partake of both the bread and wine during the Eucharist (the Lord's supper). There was a 600 year period before Vatican II where the laity were only allowed to partake of the bread.]
