If you followed my reviews, you know I love the work of Alfonso Cuaron. So this B&W period piece made in Mexico was released with critical acclaim. I wanted to take my time and watch it when I really had the mental time. What a very emotional and moving piece he has created for this Oscar nominated film about a domestic worker going through life in the 70's surrounded by class divisions as well as political uprising in Mexico.
Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón delivers a vivid, emotional portrait of a domestic worker's journey set against domestic and political turmoil in 1970s Mexico.
