Emily works in the Peer Advocacy, Supports and Services Department at MHA and she also lives with depression and anxiety. At one point in her life Emily didn’t want to go to therapy so we follow her through her journey of when she realized she had anxiety at a young age and where she’s at today. It took some time for Emily to find a therapist that worked for her but she did some research and tried out different therapists until she found someone she was completely comfortable with. Think about what you want out of therapy. Think about how you can make yourself feel better and how you can have someone else help you with that?
