Have you ever had someone comment on your family resemblance with your child, or maybe with your parent? Well, if we are a child of God, shouldn’t we resemble Him?
This week, Pastor Clay takes up where he left off a couple of weeks ago in 1 John, chapter 3, in our series, “The am i? Series.” As we are making our way through the New Testament letter of 1 John, we are seeing that John was confronting some false notions about what it means to call ourselves a follower of Jesus. Back then, just like today, there were many false teachers that were leading people away from God, rather than toward Him.
We saw in the first part of chapter 3, the reality of whose we are. What an amazing blessing to belong to Christ and be part of the family of God. In this message, Pastor Clay is going to show us two more important aspects to consider, when we consider ourselves children of God.
