Hello everyone. Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education, where we dive deep into virtual reality for teaching and learning. Today we have the pleasure of talking to Dr. Carl Boel. Dr. Boel is a researcher and expert in e-learning and XR. He is also the co-founder and CPO of Dexr, an accessible platform offering immersive learning experiences that are not only effective but also motivating. Solving the problem of XR adoption and scalability in small schools or districts is challenging, how about doing it for an entire country? His team recently wrote a comprehensive paper that was published in Tech Trends, this paper presents a nationwide framework in Flanders (Belgium) for implementation comprising five pillars—hardware, software, teacher professional development, practice-oriented research, and coordination—to guide researchers and education policymakers. He is here today to talk more about this.
