Self-preservation can be a dangerous trap. The need to prove something or to protect yourself can seriously diminish your ability to perform at your best. To fight this, there has to be a willingness to lay yourself down. The best way forward is often counterintuitive. When we take a step back, we can become aware of everything that we already have, and we begin from a place of enough instead of a place of lack.
