This week James and Pete talk about the changes to the laws around political donations, Professor Peter Ridd and an attack on academic freedom, Shorten’s plan for a commission into corruption, the results from the latest Human Freedom Index and, of course, the Cabinet Files. We talk to Gideon Rozner about these new laws on donations and what dangers there are for charities and other organisations in the wording, and the problems with Shorten’s call for a ‘living wage’ (12:00 – 25:46). We also talk to Deborah Sims on the latest on the Right To Try legislation, what the IPA is planning for our 75th year anniversary and how likely it is we’ll soon have Prime Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg (25:54 – 38:15).
