Progressing Recruiters Lives Everywhere Podcast (UK)
Business:Careers
Welcome to the Progressing Recruiters Lives Everywhere Podcast, brought to you by Amoria Bond.
For our second season, join us as we talk to our board members and leaders to gain valuable tips, advice, and inspiration for your own professional life. From climbing the career ladder to the evolution of the recruitment industry - we'll cover it all.
Within recruitment, there truly are no limits to how far you can progress - so we want to show you how and why working in recruitment could be the best decision for your life and career!
In this episode, your host Jenny Walsh, Regional Talent Attraction Manager based in Amoria Bond’s Manchester office is joined by Keelie O'Dea, who is the Director of Operations at our Singapore office.
Jenny and Keelie chat about Keelie's role within recruitment, looking outside of the typical sales route and exploring how recruitment as an industry is truly for everyone, and anywhere. Keelie shares her experience of moving into the world of operations in Singapore, her key insights and advice for those starting out in any role in recruitment, the importance of Amoria Bond offering the same progression routes to everyone (regardless of their role) as well as what should young professionals look out for in a business with an inclusive workplace - and so much more!
Questions:
1. Welcome Keelie, great to have you here! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in recruitment?
2. What does a typical day look like as Director of Operations at Amoria Group?
3. We often hear from those in sales roles, including on this podcast. But as someone who oversees a wider scope of the business you must see other success stories. Can you share any examples of great successes or progressions, and any advice in achieving similar things for those just starting out in their career?
4. You’re based in our Singapore office and have lived in the region for some time now. What would you say are the key differences between the APAC business and the EU business?
5. If someone from our European offices wanted to make the move to Singapore, what advice would you have for them?
6. Lastly; equity, diversity & inclusion is an increasingly important part of every business. What would you say the key goals are to achieve an inclusive workplace, and what should young professionals just starting their careers be looking out for in a business?
