"This really is the largest civil rights movement of our time," said Lynn Grandon, program director of the Respect Life Office at Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Denver. Across the nation each January, "people join together by the hundreds of thousands to remember the tragedy of the Roe v. Wade decision and what it's done to our nation. Some people may not be aware that the numbers are above 60 million of the children that we've lost [from abortion] since January of 1973. So people gather and march peacefully all across the United States."
Grandon described the upcoming Celebrate Life Rally and March, to take place starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, on the west steps of the state Capitol in Denver. Details are available at respectlifedenver.org.
