In the 278th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are wrapping up the year of podcast eps with the final (new) show of 2025!  This go around, they open up with Jenn returning back from a whirlwind weekend at WDW, while Dave recounts a story from his own family meeting Star Lord at Epcot. The news gives the update on the Taylor Swift display in Hollywood Studios... Typhoon Lagoon closing and Blizzard Beach opening... Chef Art's Brunchmas... and charming little story about a couple spending their anniversaries at Disneyland - like, 70 of them...  Plus happy birthday Dick Van Dyke! Then, in an update from our episode 82 in 2021, we look at the song "My Favorite Things", as sung by the immaculate Julie Andrews - and we give our favorite things - everything from places we want to return to and visit for the first time... favorite Disney dogs... snacks... pastas... where we'd be "basic"... where to get out of the rain... and even a little coffee talk. Plus our usual random sidebars and asides as we chat a little Disney magic and why we love to travel and help others do the same.

In the 277th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are ready for Christmas!  Ready for New Years! And ready for all the Magical Goodness coming in 2026! First up, Jenn is getting ready for her trip, while Dave has just seen his own family off to the Most Magical Place on Earth -- then, a quick aside about... beverage coolers. Yes, those almost but not quite fridges in resort rooms... the differences, where to find them, and what to do if you need one. Then, starting in January, we begin to look at 2026 month by month... the attraction opening and closings, Aerosmith closing, any big news, Disney/Marvel/Star Wars releases, D23, the returns of festivals and other events and much, much more. Jenn chats a little about the Disney Adventure and what to expect, marathon weekends, Hannah Montana's 20th anniversary, and both of us try to figure out who or what the heck is Wonder Man... The One with Walt's Park Connections

First, a quick chat about Christmas music, and what both Jenn and Dave think about Mariah Carey's new classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" - annoying or an absolute jam?  Then, Jenn swapping ornaments and Dave reading Walt books. The news piled up over the last few days with Disney releasing all sorts of things coming in 2026 - the openings (Magic of Animation!) and reopenings (Big Thunder!), the retheming (Muppets!), the Festivals, the parties, and of course BLUEY!! Then, to give an homage to Walt Disney's birthday - December 5th - Jenn and Dave talk about how Walt Disney connects to each theme park - what attraction, icon, feature, even restaurant or show represents who Walt Disney was, his spirit, his imagination, and his legacy.
