Wayne Elliott’s Prizewinning 1974 HQ Statesman

Wayne Elliott’s HQ Stato took out the “Best Restored” category at the Shepparton SpringNats. The prestigious award is testimony to the work carried out by Wayne and his crew over some time.His labor of love is reflected in the attention to detail. The engine build sees the trusty 308 upgraded to Stroker spec but in the engine bay it’s a sleeper by appearance.

Once in a while one of these "impossible" mileage cars becomes available for sale.  We interviewed Albie D yesterday to find out about his crazy low km 2001 WH Statesman.  This car is soooo untouched, it hasn't even had its first service.

Every now and again we have a wonderful reunion story. Brendon Burgess, of South Australia, found an old love.  Here he tells the story about how he found his old Caprice and re-purchased it.  This beautiful example of the marque is special for a number of reasons but its condition belies its age.
