Delaware State Police identify state trooper killed in DMV shooting

About a dozen people in Chester, Delaware County, are displaced from their homes this Christmas morning after a fire ripped through four rowhomes. This happened around 5:30 a.m. on West Seventh Street near Lincoln Street. Officials say the fast-moving fire spread across the roofs the homes before firefighters from multiple departments got the flames under control. Chester Fire Commissioner John Paul Shirley tells NBC10 that, fortunately, no one was hurt. ****** We are learning more about the Delaware State Police Corporal Grade One Matthew T. Snook, who was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday at a Wilmington-area DMV. With more, here's KYW's John McDevitt. ****** In a new lawsuit, the City of Philadelphia alleges several drug manufacturers and Pharmacy Benefit Managers have built up a pricing scheme that has caused insulin prices to increase. KYWs Vik Raghupathi tells us the city believes the companies it’s suing have done this while lying about their efforts to decrease drug costs. ****** Tolls on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will increase next month. But we should have seen this increase coming down the highway. At least two people are dead after an apparent explosion at a Bucks County nursing home, but officials don’t have firm estimates on total injuries. KYWs Vik Raghupathi was there as first responders looked for people trapped in the partially collapsed building: A Delaware State Trooper was shot and killed at a DMV near Wilmington. The suspected gunman was also shot and killed by a responding police officer. A Lansdowne firefighter who was at home at the time when a fire broke out at his Drexel Hill apartment building over the weekend has been identified as the person who lost their life in the multi-alarm fire. ... Both the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly have passed a new bill that bans cellphone use in schools from bell to bell. ...
