The Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets, 2-1 as Derek Hill DAZZLED with his glove and Zack Wheeler DOMINATED with his arm!   With the Phillies leading 1-0 going into the bottom of the 1st, Juan Soto smacked a long fly ball to deep right center field that was bound for a two-run homer. But Derek Hill tracked it perfectly and leap at the wall to rob Soto of the two-run homer.   Zack Wheeler went on to toss an absolute gem, allowing just one run over 7 innings of work allowing four hits and one walk while striking out five.     The Phillies were able to get on the board early, scoring their first run on an RBI single by Bryce Harper in the 1st inning. The Philadelphia Phillies KEEP THE 9th INNIN MAGIC going, as they beat the Washington Nationals, 10-5.     Christopher Sanchez got the start for the Phillies and put in an EXTREMELY abnormal night of work. The lefty allowed five runs on seven hits, one walk and one hit batter. It was Sanchez’ worst start since he allowed six runs on 12 hits over 5.1ip against the Cubs on April 23rd.   The Phillies offense began to pick up their starter in the 6th when Brandon Marsh smacked a two-run homer to right-center to make it a 5-2 ball game. Then in the 7th, the Phillies showed A LOT of patience, allowing the Nationals’ bullpen to walk in two runs. In total in the 7th, the Phillies plated three to tie the score at five.   Then, very typical of this series, the Phillies EXPLODED for five runs in the 9th inning! Bryce Harper broke the 5-5 tie with a to-run homer to left, followed by an RBI double by J.T. PHILLIES POSTCAST: MORE MAGIC IN DC as Philadelphia Phillies comeback AGAIN to beat Nationals 5-4

The Philadelphia Phillies were down to the Final Strike for the second straight night, trailing in the 9th and WON on Derek Hill's TW0-RUN PINTCH HIT HOMER, 5-4 over Washington Nationals!   In the 9th inning with two outs, Kyle Schwarber was called on to pinch hit. Schwarber stepped up and worked a 10-pitch walk. Derek Hill then followed, got down in the count 1-2, then DRILLED a fastball from Richard Lovelady JUST over the wall in right-center.     Jhoan Duran then closed it out in the bottom of the 9th for the win and his 19th save of the season.     Aaron Nola started for the Phillies and tossed five innings of two-run baseball. Both blemishes came by way of the long ball. Nola allowed a homer to Louis Garcia Jr. in the 1st, then a solo shot to Jorbit Vivas in the 2nd. The righty only allowed one other hit on the night for a total of three with two walks and one hit batter. He struck out five while throwing 86 pitches on the night.   The Phillies bats plated three in the 4th inning. It all started with a single by Brandon Marsh, then Bryson Stott followed later in the frame with an RBI double off the wall in right. J.T.
