And then it’s  Focus February, what’s happening with the goals that you have had and that you’ve set, where are you with them, you’re likely success and can we bring it up a notch? Then it will be  Make it Happen March, what do you want to add to those goals now that you are already having your success? Leading us to  Accountability April, to look back and take charge of what we did and didn’t do and have a plan in place for moving forward. It’s exciting to think about  Money talks May, where are we spending our money? Where are we saving our money? What are we doing with our money to create more wealth whether that is financial or emotional.  Justify your NO June, that’s the N-O no. How do we say no and feel good about it?  Jog your memory July, will be fun because we’ll look back on what is it in our lives and what was it in the past that brought joy and how do we rekindle that if we’re not getting as much joy as possible? Leading us to  Availability August, what are we doing, where are we being and what do we want to make ourselves available to encounter and incorporate as we move forward? Then it’s  Simplify September, we get into that fall time period and what can we remove from our lives that will make things even better? Onto Ownership October, oh yes! We are going to own our words, our actions, our attitudes and we’re going to make some changes that fall. Then it’s  Never say never November, sure! We’ll be thankful in November, it’s all about what are things that we don’t want to put out of reach for us? And in the end of the year  DO IT December, what are we going to do to set ourselves up for even more excitement, even more challenges, even more opportunity and the year to come.  So stay tuned, there’s a lot more to follow.   Send us Fan MailSupport the showThe Business of Life Master Class Podcast. Listen. The Business of Life: Debbie Lundberg Interview

Mar 31st, 2019 4:00 AM

The Business of Life Podcast Hosts: Debbie Lundberg & Barbara Zant Digital Engineer: Brianna Connolly Music: www.bensound.com TBOL_Debbie_Interview  Barb: Hello and welcome. It’s another outstanding episode of The Business of Life. The podcast for people who thrive on opportunities, drive to get results, and seek input in ideas to incorporate quickly in life and in business.  Barb Zant here. Corporate sales leader, founder of the lifestyle brand #thestayatworkmom and fashion stylist. As a lifetime learner it’s about the simple things, finding joy in all we do everyday.  So, are you wondering who that guru, who that inspiring individual and all around intriguing person who has chosen to make time for us today is…. Well, you may have noticed someone missing from the start of the show and there’s a reason for that. Our guest, my guest, I can say is a friend, a colleague and a partner. She is a 10 time published author who started her business after a full retirement from the auto industry at the age of 34. She had the belief in her vision to make a go of it and go she does. She’s a mentor to many and serves on local and national boards, as the founder & CEO  of Presenting Powerfully, a Tampa, FL based national firm providing individuals and organizations 4 things:  Key Notes & Talks  Strategy & Facilitation Teaming & Training Executive Presence Coaching  All contributing to the enhancement of communication, behavior and relationships.  Please welcome my co-host, Debbie Lundberg.  Debbie: Thank you Barb. Barb: You are welcome Debbie. Before we get started, as you know we like for listeners to get to hear something special, unusual, or defining about you that for some reason, if you don’t get to it today we may not otherwise know?  So Debbie, the secret is out, what is the one thing that we wouldn’t know otherwise about you?  Debbie: Oh boy, thanks for asking Barb. Something a lot of people don’t know about me is I’m not from Tampa. I’m not a Tampanian, rather I’m front Flint, Michigan and we get called Flintstones. I have lived or spent significant time working in many areas, including Louisiana, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida once before, Minnesota and Illinois. That opportunity to explore the country for my career with General Motors gave me a lot of confidence in starting over and making friends and connections wherever I went. So, that’s something a lot people don’t really know about me.   Barb: That’s pretty cool. I don’t think I realized how many places that you have lived, you look like you’re from Florida.   Debbie: Haha! Thanks.   Barb: Moving into The Business of Life Podcast the 4 questions we ask every guest to please answer for insight and inspiration. Are you ready Debbie?  Debbie: You know I am.   Barb: What time do you get up in the morning and what is your daily routine to get the day started? Now, you know that question so many of us really want to know what you’re doing to get yourself started off right.   Debbie: Absolutely! 4:30 am, YES.  Barb: Wow! Did you say that right?  Debbie: I did, I did and I love it. Well, about 80% of the time I just pop up before my alarm even goes off, I still set an alarm because Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays I’m registered with what we call our “5am Mafia” at Orangetheory in South Tampa and on Wednesdays I run with my friend Linny. This starts my juices flowing and interestingly enough I use to get up and check my email and Send us Fan MailSupport the showThe Business of Life Master Class Podcast. Listen. Choose. Do!

Amanda Marit Follow Through

Mar 31st, 2019 4:00 AM

The Business of Life Podcast Hosts: Debbie Lundberg & Barb Zant Digital Engineer: Brianna Connolly Music: www.bensound.com Barb: So Debbie, on our last podcast we had Amanda Marit, what did you think?  Debbie: What couldn’t I think about all the great energy she brought Barb, wow! What a spectacular person we got to have on the podcast. She has such light, she brings joy and she gets results. I thought she was wonderful, she was grateful to be apart of it and she is so successful already. For her to make that time to share with our listeners I thought it was not only a terrific way to spend some time, it was an outstanding guest to have on The Business of Life Podcast in knowing that she does so much with so many people. What did you think about Amanda?   Barb: Amanda was a breath of fresh air, she was so positive. Her videos, she does a video every single day and she is a dynamo. We introduced her as a dynamo and WOW! She really lived up to it.  Debbie: She really lived up to it, yeah. Yes, she sure did. One of our the focuses we committed this to all of our listeners is to tell them what we have implemented since having a speaker on. With amanda we have both implemented things, some of them together. What are some of the things that you saw, heard, you listened and you chose and you did Barb?   Barb: There were a lot of items that I implemented immediately. That’s what I loved about everything she had to say. There were tactile things that we could do and start 5 minutes after, you know, we were done.   Debbie: What’s one of the things.  Barb: One of the things that I’ve done is my mornings. My mornings can get off schedule very quickly and 5 minutes is all you need to set your mind right and change the trajectory of my day.   Debbie: Mmhmmm.  Barb: So I took what she said and talked about owning what you’re going to do and how you think about things, how you think about money, are you open to it? She said a lot about money that I thought was very very interesting and changing your approach on how you think about everything that we do.   Debbie: Right and she was really focused on meditation, support and mentors. Wasn’t it great how she talked about her coach and her mentor and how she really gave her a lot of credit, a lot of kudos. You can really feel the love from Amanda when she speaks about someone or something where she has a connection and a passion. I know something I did was that I reconnected with one of my mentors who I hadn’t and someone who is very important in my life recently passed and I still had a conversation with her, in my mind at least. That part made me feel connected and just thanking her, that gratitude that we were talking about and when she talked about Emily, the angel, it made me think of Sally. Thinking you know what? She may not be here, but she is someone I can still really appreciate. Something else that I did was look at that concept of journal and as you know Barb, I have the journal books that I do and so I change it up what I’m focused on. So after hearing Amanda talk about setting those goals and intentions and the journal, I not only incorporated it for myself, I incorporated it with a client who was attempting to get out of some of her accountability and her journaling is coming to me each day in our accountability session, so that was a nice bonus as well. Then we also did some things together.  Barb: Yes and we went to Amanda’s website and we took one of her master courses on Instagram.  Debbie: Right! Justin Clark Interview

Mar 31st, 2019 4:00 AM

The Business of Life Podcast Hosts: Debbie Lundberg & Barbara Zant Digital Engineer: Brianna Connolly Music: www.bensound.com TBOL_Justin_Interview  Debbie: Hello and welcome for another wonderful time for another episode for The Business of Life. The podcast for people who thrive on opportunity, drive to get to results and seek input and ideas to quickly incorporate in life and in business.  Hi there, it’s Debbie Lundberg. Author and founder & CEO of “Presenting Powerfully.” A Tampa, FL based national firm providing individual and organizations with four things: Key Notes & Talks Strategy & Facilitation Teaming & Training and  Executive Presence Coaching  All contributing to the enhancement of communication, behavior and relationships.   Barb: Barb Zant here! Corporate sales leader, founder of the lifestyle brand #thestayatworkmom and fashion stylist. As a lifetime learner it’s about the simple things. Finding joy in all we do each day.  So Debbie, who is that inspiring leader, the successful individual and interesting person who has chosen to make time for us today?  Debbie: Well Barb, this person comes to us with a good heart, a good palate and a really good sense of business. How so? Well, he’s the chief operating officer of one of the most successful breweries around. He’s been about everywhere promoting craft beer and quality and all in the craft of brewing. He and his team have fun, give back to the community and his favorite Cigar City Brewing Beer is the “Guayabera Pale Ale,” hopefully I pronounced that correctly. It’s exciting to hear what we are about to learn from this entrepreneur, that once had a dog at the brewery as the official greeter, how cool is that?  So’s we’re about to start our interview with somebody special, Justin Clark.   Barb: Welcome Justin, before Debbie gets started with your interview, we like for our listeners to get to hear something special, unusual or defining about you that for some reason if you don’t get to share it here they would have never been exposed to it? So Justin, do tell.   Justin: Umm, I guess I would say that I started my career in beer  of course at the age of 21, like any responsible person would do.   Barb & Debbie: Hahaha!  Justin: Umm, before that time I was in college and I worked at another brewery, um, inside the Orlando International Airport and so I got my start cleaning kegs and working there. At the same time going to college for Radio and so I have a communication degree. Umm I worked in FM talk radio for about 5 years while starting my career in the brewery.   Barb: That is so cool!  Debbie: No wonder you sound so good, he is going to put us to shame now Barb, we are really going to have to step it up with our radio voices, right?  Alright, so thanks Justin. So moving on to the Business of Life Podcast the um 5 question, excuse me, the 4 questions we like to ask every guest for insight and inspiration, so are you ready Justin? We are going to put that radio and communication background to the test.  Alright, so what time do you get up in the morning  and what’s your daily routine to get your day started right?  Justin: Umm, so I usually get up around 6 o’clock. That’s about the earliest I get up, unless I got to catch  flight or something, um, I like to start my day on my Peleton Bike because in this career we have a lot of great beers, a lot of great meals and I needed to do something to maintain some exercising and activity, after Send us Fan MailSupport the showThe Business of Life Master Class Podcast. Listen.
