RAYS POSTCAST: Tampa Bay Rays STEAMROLL the Kansas City Royals

The Rays destroy the Royals, beating them 13-2. What a game it was for the Rays and they got it going right away. Junior Caminero destroyed one of his 3 home runs today in the 1st inning to get the scoring started and made it 2-0. The Rays offense continued to hum with a 3 run homer by Victor Mesa in the 4th that made it 5-0. The Rays added 2 more in the 5th with the 2nd Junior Caminero homer followed up by a Chandler Simpson RBI double. The Rays added 6 more runs between the 7th and 8th innings as the Royals threw a position player and the Rays took advantage. Though the offense put up 13 runs the pitching was the story. The Rays took a no hitter into the top of the 9th inning before it was spoiled by a 2 run homer. Ian Seymour was the bulk pitcher during the no hitter and was fantastic. He went 6.2 IP striking out 7 in his stellar outing. RAYS POSTCAST: Tampa Bay Rays pick up a GET RIGHT win vs the Kansas City Royals

The Rays pick up a much needed win, beating the Royals 5-3. The Rays for the first time in awhile struck first. Ryan Vilade had a RBI fielders choice which led to a Royals error which made the game 2-0. Jonathan Aranda followed that up with a RBI single which made it 3-0 in the 3rd inning. The Rays would break the game open in the 4th inning. Yandy Diaz ripped a RBI single to make it 4-0. Jonny DeLuca added a RBI double to make it 5-0. Some Rays miscues caused the Royals to pick up 2 runs in the 5th which made it 5-2. The Royals would add 1 in the 9th to make it 5-3. But the Rays would hold on for the win. Rays starter Griffin Jax was stellar once again. He went 5 IP striking out 7 and not allowing any earned runs. The Rays picked up a much needed win after dropping the first two games of the series. RAYS POSTCAST: The Tampa Bay Rays GET HAMMERED by the Kansas City Royals

The Rays get blown out by the Royals 12-5. It was a disaster right away for the Rays. Shane McClanahan gave up back to back homers in the 1st that made it 2-0. The Rays would get a run back in the bottom of the 1st on a Junior Caminero RBI single which made it 2-1. But the offense could not cash in on multiple RISP chances to keep the game close. The game remained until the 5th inning when the Royals put on another 4 runs helped by Rays mistakes defensively which made it 6-1. It would only get worse for the Rays in the 8th inning. The Royals would tack on another 5 runs to make it an embarrassing 11-1. Both teams added runs in the last inning but the game was decided well before then.
