Episode 3: Running Away From Home, Twice, and Reasons Why
Hello again, everyone. In Ep. 3 I talk about the two different times I ran away from home as a child, and dig into what I was feeling at those times, what living conditions were like at home, and why I believe I ran away. If you or someone you know has been through or is going through similar situations, then I hope you realize that you are not alone and there IS something you can do to better your life.
Episode 2: Joker - Why It Inspired Me to Action
Recently, while I was visiting Japan, I was able to catch the film 'JOKER,' starring Joaquin Phoenix. It was such a deep, stirring, emotional experience that I returned to view it a second time before flying back to China a few days later. Since then, I have thought about the film very much, but it also prompted me to consider again many of the challenges and traumas I've been through in my life and what I might can do to inspire or encourage others who have been through or are going through their own trials. Because of the amount of rudeness -- and sometimes downright hate -- that is so easily spewed out online, I have been hesitant to speak out about my experiences online in video format, even though I have YouTube channels. It seemed logical enough for me to use the podcast method, and in this episode I share with you how the film affected me, inspired me to begin creating this show, and some important, connected points.
Episode 1: Welcome to That's Life with Brandon
This is the first-ever episode of TL (That's Life) and your host, Brandon, introduces himself and how he intends to offer value for the listeners of the program. After years of wanting to help people by sharing his story of trauma from childhood and up, he was inspired by the emotional content of the film JOKER to finally take to the media form of podcasting to do so. Brandon is not a doctor a licensed therapist, and does not give advice. He does, however, share his experiences in the hopes that someone out there -- who might be suffering from similar trauma or know someone who is -- could benefit in some way through connecting with his stories. Thank you for your time and it is Brandon's hope that you are encouraged.
