In Do the Wrong Thing, Jonny takes Ava out for dinner—to a soup kitchen—then invites her to beg with him.   In The Second Undoing of Marlowe Pourer, Marlowe has a dream about being in an antiseptic library looking for a book that never appears where it should. Finally, a small green tome with no call numbers appears. Mourad reads a potential ending for his memoir, Key to Paradise. It’s his birthday and he goes for a long run, as he does every year. He meets a homeless man who asks him for advice.
