Write That Down! : Titus Benton & Stacie Wilkins

Sep 16th, 2020 2:32 PM

***This is not an episode of propaganda. I'm not telling you who to vote for. I'm not into that garbage.*** Titus Benton is an independent write-in candidate for the Texas State House of Representatives in the 132nd District, Stacie Wilkins is his AMAZING campaign treasurer. Together with their team, they are attempting to do something that hasn't been done in a long time! Running for write in candidate for the 132, Titus and Stacie share with me the heart behind this campaign and their vision for the future of our community. HOWEVER. In our current political climate, there is a constant "Us vs. Them" mentality. I hate that and I don't agree. We are all, "in order to form a more perfect union," invited to vote our conscience and create a better America for one another. I believe We the People are moving towards a collective understanding that we are all Americans, and America can do better than a two-party fist fight and pity party. Titus is a co-minister in our city and I have observed his practical and highly effective ministry strategies- I've seen them make a lasting and miraculous impact on my hometown over the past decade. Hearing that someone like THAT was running for political office, I wanted to know the why's and I wanted to share them with you. Bridge building is the most biblical task we can take on- I believe Titus is a proven builder and has some good stuff to say. Listen 🎧 Learn more: 25 Group Policy Briefs Facebook Page Backyard Talks

Your Neighborhood Anti-Trafficking Coalition Prayer Meeting

Jul 30th, 2020 4:46 PM

You're hearing more about it today, possibly than ever before. Sex trafficking, particularly that of women and children, is real. I have had the privilege of belonging to a community of warriors for the past 5+ years who address human trafficking locally through prayer, support, and righteous action.  This episode is a glimpse into one of our prayer meetings from April, 2020. We believe God is answering  our prayers RIGHT NOW. The layers of corruption and deception  are being revealed, and this is how we can participate. Pray. It matters. It makes a difference. It has paved the way for the widespread and rapid awareness taking place in our nation.  We invite you to participate in this episode- pray with us, don't just consume the content. Today, in honor of Worldwide Trafficking Awareness Day, July 30, 2020, we raise our voices and declare that people are not for sale, sexuality is more than superficial gratification, women are worth our respect, children are worth our protection.  Warriors on the Call:  Joe Madison Love People Not Pixels  The Reid Family Redeemed Ministry Stephanie Leggett The Great Southwest Prayer Center

Where is God in COVID19? & Other Important Questions With Dr. P

Apr 11th, 2020 3:29 PM

What is even going on in the world, y'all? Some of us are really stressed and pressed in new ways- emotionally, physically, financially,- we feel compromised. All our plans and schedules and the things that normally make our "world go 'round" have suddenly become...insignificant. In this interview, I talk with one of my favorites about God, the human condition, the role of fear, and the freedom of knowing Christ during, what is unarguably, a global crisis. Dr. P loves people- his heart is to share what he has learned about God through years of incredible and intense study in order for others to receive peace. Peace that comes from knowing an unshakable God, no matter how shooketh the world might be. 🤓 This interview is like watching someone take a huge piece of raw, Biblical steak 🥩, trim the fat, season to perfection, grill to a nice med rare, and cut it up into bite size pieces for a toddler to eat. Dr. P can explain HUGE, INSANE concepts, and help you digest the goodness without choking on the process. Dr Douglas Petrovich (Dr. P as we like to call him), is a professor at The Bible Seminary. His fields include Biblical Studies, Ancient Near Eastern History, Egyptology; specializing in Biblical Exegesis, Textual Criticism, Archaeology, and Epigraphy. He's extremely intelligent and has the crazy gift to break it down for us. You can check out some of Dr. P's work here, HERE, HeRe, and here. You're going to love it. Bon a petite 😚 🥩 🎧

Laura has experience in the medial/scientific field and has a serious well of wisdom to draw from. In this episode, Laura shares some very practical ways to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy and how to take precautions when you do have to leave your home.  She answers my "mom-questions" and among other things, addresses vaccine availability and what to do in the meantime to stay sane!  She graciously shared her resources with the NOPE.show and here they are! Do the research- educate yourself, and be on the lookout for solid media outlets that tell the truth. ✊🏼 Dr. Ian MacKay Dr. Joseph Fair Dr. Neil Ferguson Dr. Bruce Aylward Dr. Faheen Younus Dr. Tom Inglesby Dr. Florian Krammer Dr. Trevor Bedford Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding Dr. Richard H. In this episode we are talking about the role of the church in regards to mental health. Have you been crushed by the weight of isolation while sitting in the midst of a church service?
