Microwave Mentality

Jan 27th, 2025 5:47 PM

This is how we make life work with the instant gratification that society has led us to believe in! Do you remember your first microwave?  If you were born anytime after 1980 then it was a given that your household would have one, but that wasn't always the case! Microwaves are amazing but we can compare them to so many aspects of life where we now expect instantaneous results.  Instant Fitness results? Instant traffice to ease up? Instant internet?  Intstant Prayers to be answered? Amazon anyone?!?! Let's talk this through...do we have solutions?  Nope, but just talking it through and relating can help us come to conclusions how we can recognize and maybe even improve on this part of our lives.   Nat's Weekly Favorite:  Sweatpants   This week's encouragement from God's word: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."-Isaiah 40:31 "We can rejoice too when we've run into problems and trials for we know they help us develop endurance." Taking Off Our Masks

Nov 11th, 2024 1:00 PM

This is how we make life work when Halloween is over and it's time to take our masks off.   What masks do we hide behind?  There are physical masks and emotional masks that we tend to find solace if we can keep hidden behind them. But what happens when we take those off?  The relatability and reality behind them is often times more comforting than the facade that it puts out.  We present some of our masks and how we can work around them! Christi's Weekly Favorite: Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin Natalie's Weekly Favorite: Activate-C   This week's encouragement from God's Word: "Jerusalem will be rebuilt on its ruins, and the palace reconstructed as before."-Jeremiah 30:18 "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. The Golden Repair of Life with Tamara Le

Nov 4th, 2024 4:07 PM

This is how we make life work when God repairs all of our brokenness.  Natalie sits down with her friend Tamara Le and disects some major life lessons.   Tamara walks us through her story starting with a life changing surgery at the age of 3 that would leave her as a selective mute for years to come.  Her anxieties woven into her inner child wires that would prove life to be a bit challenging.   During the times of 2020, Tamara and her family moved from Southern California to Texas where her real journey of faith came to fruition.  They have since relocated to Idaho in what seemed like a quick turn of events, but were they really? Was the Lord working something and maybe plucking feathers all along?   Throughout her almost 40 years Tamara came to see her life as a piece of Kintsugi which literally means 'golden repair'.  She now sees all of her broken pieces mended by the beautiful gold metals of the Lord and what he has been able to make a brilliant piece of art.  Tamara's Favorite: Power of a Praying MoM Power of a Praying Wife This week's encouragement from God's word: "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps" Proverbs 16:9
