Like Ya Said focuses on unveiling truths behind the varying experiences of a young person growing up in our social and cultural context. This podcast has been created with African Nova Scotians in mind, and for anyone else who can identify with the highlighted topics. My goal is to elevate you and create a safe space for us to be challenged and face our realities while being encouraged and inspired to press on. ‘Like Ya Said!’ is a podcast about speaking one's truth and being true to one's self. The phrase “Like Ya Said” comes from the Black Communities in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I proudly hail from! This phrase is used when a listener hears a truth being spoken and is in agreement with what has been said. You can expect authenticity, creativity, and lots of laughter from this podcast.
