1. Time, neglect, and abuse lead to the hardening of soil, just as it does for the hardening of a heart. 2. Many make the decision to follow Christ without counting the cost. 3. Some people are simply too busy pursuing the treasures of the world to commit themselves to Christ. 4. The heart that truly receives the Gospel will produce fruit and will persevere until harvest. 5. "Faith" and "Hearing" are only of value for those who presevere and bear fruit. 6. What kind of dirt are we?

Love, Do Good, Bless, Pray

1. "But I say to you who listen..." 2. Love - Do Good - Bless - Pray for... 3. Jesus calls His disciples (His church) to be radically different. 4. Jesus redefines "reciprocity" for His disciples. 5. Jesus' new ethic identifies His disciples as Children of God. 6. God loved us when we were His enemies, will we do the same?

New Wineskins: A Question About Fasting

1. "Why don't you and your disciples observe the rituals and traditions?" 2. Jesus questioned their motives for fasting. 3. Christians should always be asking, "why do we do what we do?" 4. Jesus cannot be attached to an existing religious system. 5. The ever-expanding reality of Jesus Christ cannot be contained within any religious system devised by man. 6. Are we ready to worship Jesus for who He is rather than who we want Him to be?

Abide Abode

1. Obedience to Jesus is a manifestation of love for Jesus. 2. Keeping His word requires that we abandon our pride and trust Him. 3. Obedience is the supreme test of faith in God and reverence for Him. 4. Obedience results in knowing God and His love more intimately. 5. The Father and the Son will make their home with those who keep His words HERE. 6. Do we really want Jesus to make His home with us?

I Am The True Vine

1. Christ is the True Vine. 2. The branch is helpless with The Vine. 3. Fruit production is the mark of a healthy branch. 4. Fruit is everything that results from the union with Christ. 5. The unfruitful branch is dealt with decisively. 6. If we are disciples of Christ, Where is the fruit?
