In the late evening and early morning of June 20/21, millions of Brazilians began receiving “extreme alerts” (alerta extremo) from their Civil Defense (Defesa Civil) which is run by the National System of Civil Protection and Disaster that integrates federal, state, and municipal agencies to respond to natural disasters. The messages varied and many were cryptic phrases using the word “misantropi”, which translates as misanthropy - hatred for humanity.The residents of Belo Horizonte, a city of 2.4 million in the state of Minas Gerais (MG) got an emergency alert that spoke about an alien invasion and the need to protect themselves.: "Protect yourselves: ALIEN ATTACK, PEOPLE, WE HAVE ARRIVED."Brazilian officials said the alerts were a result of hackers and dismissed them as a prank.According to a popular Brazilian psychic and extraterrestrial contactee Vidente Vó Bahiana with 23 million Instagram followers, the emergency alerts were no hack.
