For our last episode of 2024, we explore a Christmas film many are not familiar with, unless you live in the USA.A Christmas Story is a staple of an American Christmas, so much so, it gets looped for forty-eight hours on its own TV channel every year. Bernard and the Genie With Ben Dawber

Its time to get into the festive spirit here at The Wolfie Pod, and a miracle did happen when Jason remembered a listener requesting that we cover this TV film back in December 2023. This is very unusual for Jason, as he normally can't remember what happened yesterday, let alone a year ago; it truly is a Christmas miracle!! We invited Ben, the listener who requested this fine film and a former host of Retro Gaming Revival, to come on to the show to share his love for the film. We did have some technical issues, which meant that we had to record this conversation in quite an unauthadox fashion, and although the audio quality stands well, it meant we couldn't edit it to the standard that we would normally aim to hit. Toy Story

For the first time, Chris takes up the hosting seat to discuss his choice, which is the monumental and incredibly influential film, Toy Story. With just Chris and Jason, this ends up being a cosy chat about the film, its cast and characters and the realisation of how many layers this film actually holds. One of the reasons Chris chose this film was as a small dedication to a friend who recently died of cancer in his mid-thirties. Shaun of the Dead

Shaun of the Dead turns twenty, and what a perfect time to revisit this iconic, and some would say influential, film. A film that is close to many people's hearts, not just for its comedy or its references to George Romero's zombie films, but also because it brought the guys from Spaced, to the big screen and in such a fantastic fashion.
