Rachel LaRen - New EP - Small Town Beauty Queen
Send us a text and let us know what you think! In this episode Rachel returns to Texas Toast Podcast to visit with Miss Helen about her recently released EP, "Small Town Beauty Queen. A native of Gun Barrel City, Texas, LaRen grew up in a world that was both “gritty and pretty,” inspired by icons like Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves. After moving to Nashville in 2019, she leaned into her songwriting roots, creating music that balances small-town rawness with a dreamy, modern edge. Following her 2022 EP Cowboys Don’t Change and tours with Josh Abbott Band and Kat Hasty, LaRen’s sophomore project, an EP titled Small Town Beauty Queen (due out 10/3), digs deeper into her story, pairing timeless country twang with indie-pop shimmer. With Small Town Beauty Queen, LaRen continues to prove that her free-spirited artistry is as bold as it is relatable – a little bit wild, a little bit glam, and all heart.Support the show
