Episode 8: Discharge

In the last in the 'Walking In Our Shoes' series we focus on discharge from hospital.  In this episode Dr Seb Thompson is joined by Holly, one of the young people who featured in our very first episode, her mum Janice and Ali Curtis who is the nursing lead for Cygnet's  CAMHS services. In the episode hear how Holly has been getting on since discharge from hospital and how she found the discharge process.

In the penultimate episode of the Walking In Our Shoes: The Cygnet CAMHS Podcast, Dr Seb Thompson is joined by two of the young people at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield to discuss psychology and the therapeutic offering at the hospital.

Episode 6: The rights of a young person in hospital

In this episode, we focus on the role of the Responsible Clinician or RC, the Mental Health Act, and the rights of a young person when they are admitted to hospital. Guests for this episode include Vica, the Responsible Clinician for Pegasus Ward as well as two of the young people who are also on Pegasus Ward.

In this episode we are focused on education and how young people on our adolescent wards continue with their education whilst being an inpatient.  Joining the podcast are Katy Edmondson, Head Teacher at Phoenix School, and two of the students at the school.
