The two of them were iconic nation-crossed enemies, who pushed the boundaries of what it meant to compete. Furthermore, Larry Bird was a 3-point savant before the introduction of the spacing era we currently enjoy. Larry could do it all and did it all as the leader of that dynastic Boston Celtics squad of the 80's.
