Welcome to the very first episode of Denim-Wrapped Nightmares! Hosts Berly (a new SPN fan) and LA (along for the ride) kick off their Supernatural journey with the 2005 pilot episode, and they're already swooning over the Winchester brothers.The episode starts in 1983 Lawrence, Kansas where four-year-old Dean is absolutely not qualified to carry baby Sam like a football down the stairs while their house burns and mom Mary gets pinned to the ceiling. Wendigo (1x2)

Hosts Berly and LA tackle Season 1, Episode 2 of Supernatural, and they cannot stop saying "Wendingo" instead of "Wendigo" (there's only ONE 'n', people!).The episode opens in Black Ridge, Colorado where three camping bros learn the hard way that see-through tents offer zero protection. One guy gets attacked (RIP, early 2000s horror tropes), Corey Monteith gets snatched from the tent, and the third guy films it all on his Blackberry held backwards because front-facing cameras weren't a thing yet. Dead in the Water (1x3)

Hosts Berly and LA dive into Season 1, Episode 3 of Supernatural, which opens with a major Jaws homage (1975, not the 80s, thank you very much!). A girl gets pulled under Lake Manitowoc (not a real lake, but Manitowoc IS a real town), and the Winchester boys are on the case.Sam and Dean roll up to investigate posing as federal wildlife officers, armed with nothing but newspapers, actual paper maps, and their complete inability to dress like any kind of officer. They meet Sheriff Jake, his daughter Andrea (played by Amy Acker from Angel), and her traumatized son Lucas who hasn't spoken since witnessing his father's drowning.Dean bonds with Lucas over stick figure drawings (his artistic skills are... lacking), and the kid hands him a suspiciously good drawing of a house. Turns out something in the lake is seeking revenge, and it's targeting specific families. When people start getting pulled under by black water in their own homes (including a terrifying bathtub scene), the boys realize they're dealing with the vengeful spirit of Peter Sweeney, a bullied kid who drowned 35 years ago.Episode Highlights:Opening with "dead in the water" sung to Smoke on the WaterLA asking "When are they gonna take their shirts off?" Phantom Traveler (1x4)

Hosts Berly and LA take to the skies for Season 1, Episode 4 of Supernatural, and things get turbulent fast!The episode opens with what the hosts thought was a guy snorting lines in an airport bathroom (it wasn't), but turns out he's just a nervous flyer about to get possessed by black mold—er, demon smoke—that comes out of a bathroom vent. He boards the plane with creepy black eyes that only the flight attendant notices, then casually opens the emergency exit mid-flight and gets sucked out, causing the plane to crash.Enter the Winchester boys, who get called in by Jerry (their dad's old friend from a "poltergeist thing") to investigate. The hosts are THRILLED when the episode opens with a slow pan up Dean's body as he sleeps ass-up in bed. They rewound it. Twice.
