He served as an infantryman on active duty in the Marine Corps for 32 years from 1989 to 2021, commanding at every level from platoon to regiment. He deployed to combat several times including Somalia, Afghanistan (x2), and Iraq(x2). His last assignment was as the Chief of Staff of Parris Island when he retired to the tri-county area of Charleston, SC and now serves as the Director of the SC Veterans Business Outreach Center, The Tommy & Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel assisting Veterans and their Spouses who want to start or grow a business. He also serves on the Board of Directors for five separate not-for-profit organizations in the Charleston area. Within these organizations he represents veteran issues and teaches leadership, ethics, and self-employment to help reduce recidivism, mentor at-risk veterans, and foster economic vibrancy in the Charleston Area. He holds a master’s degree in National Security Studies from the Naval War College and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Western Michigan University.Where leadership meets entertainment!
