Consider watching this movie - OR - consider listening to us talk about it. It's valid for another 36 hours! Do we both have crushes on Zoey Deutch? YES. Do we LOVE a marigold yellow Le Creuset enameled dutch oven? YES. Is New York at Christmastime magical? Well. Both yes and no.Listen to us recap this 90 minute movie in 2 hours, the most classic Sis Flicks Podcast Christmas gift we could give.Find us on Instagram @sisflickspodcast (where we're currently putting ourselves in Horny Jail over Heated Rivalry), email us any time at sisflickspodcast@gmail.com; find us on Patreon if you so choose, and find our dumb little movie reviews on Letterboxd! Dec 20th, 2025 5:59 AM

Hi. Have you spent the last three weeks on Earth? Then you've heard of Heated Rivalry, the newest queer rom-dram brought to us by our neighbors-to-the-north at Crave. Starring Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, HR has captured all of our hearts and minds - and social media feeds. Everyone, say "thank you, Jacob Tierney," and above all, "thank you, Rachel Reid," for bringing us this story in the first place and helping bring it to life on our screens. We have not been able to stop analyzing (or rewatching) and have finally cut this down enough to throw up on the feed! What started as a Sis Flicks Hit Clips vibe episode - much like Shane and Ilya - has turned into so much more. Care to join us?As always - find us on Instagram @sisflickspodcast, shoot us an email sisflickspodcast@gmail.com - we'd love to fangirl with you over our newest obsession! (Oh, and Patreon!)

Something's Gotta Give (2003)

Dec 8th, 2025 7:54 AM

SISTERS! Happy December! You've made it all the way to the last month of the year, and to celebrate, we're dropping our episode to honor the late, great Diane Keaton in one of Paola's favorite rom-coms - Something's Gotta Give (2003), starring aforementioned Queen Keaton and Jack Nicholson. We squeal and sigh our way through this one, as we deal with some conflicting feelings on May-December relationships (while supporting women's rights AND wrongs). It's one of Diane Keaton's best, and we love her in it.As always - please feel free to reach out to us any time on Instagram @sisflickspodcast; shoot us an email at sisflickspodcast@gmail.com; find us on Letterboxd and come on over to play on Patreon, where we have exclusive bonus content, Hit Clips episodes, and video!

Twilight (2008) featuring Sister-of-the-Pod, Marisa

Nov 5th, 2025 8:50 AM

The air is chilly... and blue. Intensely blue. Highly saturated and blue. Wait, who did this color grading?!HANG WITH US (from practical effect harnesses) as we wheeze our way through TWILIGHT (2008), directed by Catherine Hardwicke, starring Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. We're joined by Sister-of-the-Pod, Marisa G., who helps us unravel some of our complicated feelings on this little low-budget-indie-movie-turned-blockbuster that defined a generation (our generation) and has created an entire corner of its own meme history on Al Gore's internet. We compare and contrast against the book, call forward to Twilight's numerous sequels, and discuss some hidden messaging that may or may not have been left by the series' author, Stephenie Meyer. This episode is a THICC one, so buckle up and listen to us on your commute to work - and back home - and back to work the next day. And probably back home again. You'll never believe how many hours this episode originally was.As always, please find us on Instagram @sisflickspodcast; on Letterboxd, check out some additional bonus content on Patreon, and reach out with any questions, personal inquiries or love notes at sisflickspodcast@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you.
