Judy Smith: Found 600 Miles Away, Wearing Stranger's Clothes

Jul 8th, 2026 7:01 AM

On April 10th, 1997, 50-year-old Judy Smith stepped out of her honeymoon hotel in Philadelphia while her husband attended a conference. She never returned. Five months later, her partial remains were found in a shallow grave deep inside the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina, 600 miles away. She was wearing clothing no one recognized. Her own belongings were gone. Items left at the scene may have belonged to the person who killed her. In this episode, Morgan and Kaelyn follow the clues: a forgotten ID that delayed her trip, sightings of Judy in Asheville days after she vanished, a troubled five-month marriage, a mystery car no one could trace, and the haunting question of who led her into those woods. No arrests have ever been made. Head over to our Clues YouTube channel to WATCH this episode: https://www.youtube.com/@CluesPod If you’re new here, don’t forget to follow Clues  to never miss a case! This Fugitive Faked His Death… Then Went on TV in Disguise | Presenting RedHanded

Jul 6th, 2026 7:01 AM

Wanted by the FBI and Interpol for a string of sexual assaults, Rhode Island native Nicholas Rossi didn’t just run away. He faked his death, fled to Scotland, disguised himself as a wheezing British academic called Arthur Knight, and made wilder and wilder TV appearances across international news. Before the story finally wrapped up earlier this year, Rossi’s winding tale had covered satanic ritual abuse, incel smear campaigns and, somehow, the September 11th attacks. It’s time to discover the dark, disorientating world (and 16 identities) of Nicholas Rossi.  New episodes of RedHanded drop every Thursday, with our sister show ShortHand releasing on Tuesdays. Someone Came Home: The Murder of Betsy Faria

Jul 1st, 2026 7:01 AM

On the night of December 27, 2011, Russ Faria came home to find his wife Betsy dead on the living room floor in Troy, Missouri — stabbed over fifty times. He called 911. He was convicted of her murder. Then he was freed. Then prosecutors tried again. The case of Betsy Faria is not just a murder mystery — it's a story about tunnel vision, a justice system that locked onto the wrong man, and the real killer who walked free for years while an innocent person sat behind bars. Morgan and Kaelyn trace every turn in a case that became a masterclass in how badly things can go wrong. Sage was Black, transgender, and young and for a long time, their story received none of the urgency it deserved. No body has ever been found. A person of interest was identified but never charged.
