owl sync—a short essay
Last night I posted a short essay about a very typical event involving an owl, and today I recorded it as an audio post. The essay is on my Substack page, linked HERE. This audio is less than six minutes long, and it's exactly the kind of thing that defines my research. My comrade in blogging, Lucretia Heart, tells the same story from her point of view on her site, HERE. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
26. Lucinda Morel—following the shamanic path
Before we met, Lucinda sat directly across from me and declared that owls are connected to UFOs and shamanism. Be assured, we talked after that. Lucinda is an intuitive medium and shamanic healer; she’s also a 3rd generation contact experiencer. She has spent transformational time with the Lakota people on the sacred lands around Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Her story is at the powerful intersection of Shamanism, mediumship, contact experiences, Bigfoot, fairies, psychic knowing, spirit guides, and owls. Find more at: Her homepage HERE. 25. Jay Christopher King—creativity, challenges, and contact
Jay was one of the founding members of The Experiencer Group and has worked to create a safe community for people who’ve had direct contact. Along with Kelly Chase, he’s been immersed in the creative process of documentary filmmaking and podcasting for COSMOSIS, a series that explores the deepest mysteries. In this episode, we wrestle with what it means to try to share these challenging experiences, and be true to an elusive "something" that seems to present itself as unknowable. 24. Bryn Chainey—Rabbit Trap, and brave filmmaking
Rabbit Trap is a movie about fairies. It’s also a story of the landscape, and the yearning for connection. Bryn Chainey is a young British director with a vision of how a film should feel, and the emotions it can generate. The film features Dev Patel and Rosie McEwen and a mysterious third character, played by Jade Croot. But the real stars are the sound and the land. We talk about movies, folklore, inspiration, healing, and the mystery of the creative process. Rabbit Trap is available for streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Google Play. Part of me wanted to wait to publish this one, but it was done and I want it out there. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
23. Kristen—Owls and transformation
Kristen shared an experience with me in the autumn of 2006. We saw owls, and that event changed my life. She shares her memories and insights of those twilight moments, and a lot more. Her life has had its own challenges and new beginnings. Kristen played an important role in my story, and I've been wanting to do this interview for years. This is a lively conversation on life, wilderness, spirituality, and friendship. We talked about a photo from our second trip into the mountains, and it's included in the second link below. Owls at sunset — This is the second post on my Hidden Experience blog, from March 4, 2009. The first comment is from Whitley Strieber, the second is from Mac Tonnies.
