Salute from The Real Happy Hour

I love all my tech buddies so very much. I know it's weird but it's very true. One of my very early tech buddies, and someone I am also very proud to call my friend, is Mr. Kurt Johnson and all the gang from "The Real Happy Hour". He posted a very beautiful salute to my babycakes which is posted on the "TRHH Hangovers" page. I've included it on our feed, but I'm going to add it here as well. Houston..We Have Poopies!

I never thought I would be so happy to see a dirty diaper in my life! (Weird, I know) She had her 5th surgery yesterday, another exploratory, and another 2 centimeters of lower bowel were taken out. Why didnÂ’t that damn GI X-ray find this sooner? According to the doctors, todayÂ’s discovery means her intestines didnÂ’t twist again to reorganize itself and everything is working nicely. I think she has an awareness of whatÂ’s going on right now, because when a nurse is doing something she doesnÂ’t like, her blood pressure shoots up and she gets mad! Now her kidneys need a little bit of a kick-start, but my little gal is one tough cookie! Thank you so much to KeeraÂ’s pod-granny Madge and to all of you who have e-mailed us well wishes. WeÂ’re not out of the woods yet, but I can now see the field.

Dark Days

Keera took a scary turn this morning. SheÂ’s gone through 2 emergency surgeries in the last 2 days. WeÂ’re in the PICU unit at Riley ChildrenÂ’s Hospital in Indianapolis. May God shine some light on her. We need it.
