Spiritual Emphasis Week: Rev. Curtiss Smith
Reverend Curtiss P. Smith is the 14th Servant of The Historic Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Pastor Smith, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, is an alumnus of Grambling State University and earned a Master of Theology degree from Anderson University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching and Leadership. He has served as Vice Moderator for the Antioch District, Arkansas State Baptist Convention, and is a certified dean from the National Baptist Convention Sunday School Publishing Board. In addition, he serves on several boards, which include the NAACP Clergy Caucus, The Joshua Center, Habitat for Humanity, and the Excellerate Foundation. Pastor Smith has been married for 34 years to Jacinda, the former Miss Grambling State University. They have four children and two grandchildren.
