Stanford, Cal, SMU to the ACC in 2024-25 | What’s next for the PAC-2, MWC, AAC?

The ACC announced Friday that it had reached enough votes to formally extend an invitation to Stanford, Cal, and SMU. The move creates a transcontinental conference that will make life extremely hard on student athletes, budgets, etc. The teams will join the ACC in 2024-25 after one final academic year in the Pac-12 and AAC. What does this mean for the ACC? Will they find enough money to catch the SEC and Big Ten in annual revenue?

What’s next for the remaining Pac-12 members – Oregon State and Washington State? How does the MWC factor in? What about the AAC?
