This episode is a re-release of our previous episode E051. On Friday, June 30, 2023, our beloved friend Dr. Rick Miller passed away. On Friday, June 30, 2023, our beloved friend Dr. Rick Miller passed away. Rick had been ill for a couple of years and it appeared he was making a comeback; it was delightful for many of us to see him at the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association meeting in Albuquerque, NM in April 2023.

Rick was a leader among leaders. He served as chair of the psychology departments at the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Texas A & M University – Kingsville. He served as President of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology and the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association – and these leadership examples merely scratch the surface of his contributions. He was a prolific researcher and an award-winning teacher on a national level on multiple occasions.

We will dearly miss Rick. Our condolences go out to Jeanne and to everyone in Rick’s family – and that includes his colleagues and his teaching of psychology friends worldwide.
