Florida State At SMU Prediction

Will Florida State defeat SMU? That would mean containing the elusive Kevin Jennings, the Mustangs’ quarterback. The Noles must not only sack Jennings, they must keep him in the pocket and not allow him extra time to survey the field and complete passes.

Offensively, it’s time. FSU must hit big passing plays in the middle of the field and not just dink and dunk with screen passes. From the first quarter until the conclusion of the game, DJ Uiagalelei must attack the middle of the field. If he’s avoiding that area early in the game, it’s a bad sign that FSU’s coaches do not trust him and/or he’s not even confident in himself.
