Belmont transfer Cade Tyson COMMITS to North Carolina | Still no official word from RJ Davis

Belmont transfer and rising junior SF Cade Tyson has committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels. He becomes the first commit for UNC in this cycle (save for Seth Trimble pulling out of the portal to return). Tyson is the brother of former Clemson Tiger Hunter Tyson and will have two years of eligibility for Hubert Davis. 

 

The Tar Heels still have three scholarships to utilize for 2024-25. How will Hubert Davis and company elect to utilize them? We know they are in the market for a PF, with Kentucky transfer Adou Thiero as the key target. UNC is also looking for a C to replace Armando Bacot, with Tennessee transfer Jonas Aidoo and Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi the current targets. Carolina is still awaiting official word from reigning ACC Player of the Year RJ Davis, whom is expected to return.
