Tim Hauraney sits down with Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward as the two launch into a lively discussion about oval racing and the dangers of it (1:32). Then Tim and Pato discuss how Pato handles not being in the car for weeks at a time, his training regime, and diet (06:21). In 2018 O’Ward won the IndyLights championship but wasn't given a full-time ride again until 2020 with Arrow McLaren. O’Ward takes us through just how stressful that period of his life was not knowing if he was ever going to race again (13:00). IndyCar is on the rise, and is a sport that is growing at a rapid pace, Pato explains to us about other countries that the sport should visit, and how he feels that a race in Mexico would be received by the country and just how big of an event it could be (20:19).
