Chris Weidman, Neil Magny, UFC 292 preview

On today’s episode of UFC Unfiltered, Jim Norton and Matt Serra welcome back middleweight Chris Weidman and welterweight Neil Magny ahead of their fights on Saturday’s UFC 292 card in Boston!

 

Joining first is Weidman, who opens up about his long journey back from his gruesome leg injury before finally telling the guys his thoughts on how he matches up in Saturday’s fight against Brad Tavares. While he may have relocated to South Carolina, Weidman explains why he’s a Long Islander at heart and dishes his thoughts on Serra-Longo teammate Aljamain Sterling’s bantamweight title defense against Sean O’Malley in Saturday’s main event.

 

While waiting for Neil Magny to hop on the call, Jim and Matt take a deeper dive into Saturday’s card, issuing their respective thoughts on matchups from the early prelims all the way up to the two title fights atop the pay-per-view card.

 

When Neil arrives, he shares why he believes training in altitude combined with his reach and experience, give him confidence that he’ll be the one to give rising Irish welterweight Ian Machado Garry his first ever loss in a fight that Magny accepted on short notice in place of Geoff Neal.
