Emotional abuse among Australian children rises, yet reporting stays low

Emotional abuse is the most prevalent form of child maltreatment in Australia, affecting 57 per cent of children surveyed between 2022 and 2023, according to Act for Kids. Despite this alarming statistic, only half of Australians would report suspected abuse.
