In this episode of the Matt Feret Show I interview Jo Giese, an author and radio reporter, to discuss her experience overcoming a catastrophic injury. In 2018, Jo ruptured her Achilles tendon after suffering a fall in her home. After a botched surgery, Jo began a years-long journey of resilience, perseverance, and optimism as she received a multitude of treatments and physical therapies. Jo and I discuss her passion and love for hiking, and how her hiking experiences became a source of strength throughout this journey. We also discuss Jo’s upcoming memoir, ‘Keep Chasing Waterfalls: A Story of Adventure, Tragedy, and Defying the Odds,’ an account of her healing journey. Watch the full episode on YouTube.
