Does electrolyte and mineral deficiency cause keto “stink”? Why do some people get it and some don’t? Does drinking a glass of wine bump you out of ketosis? How much alcohol is okay to drink when you’re on keto? Can vegans be keto? What are the ratios of electrolytes we need and which supplements do you recommend? Food intake is one of the biggest stressors on the body because the body needs nourishment. As soon as it’s not getting the nourishment that it needs or that it’s used to, it gets stressed out. We all have different electrolyte levels in our bodies and they all need to be in balance with each other and with what you do.
Action Steps:
Take the time to prep your body before using castor oil packs to detoxify. If your spouse/significant other is not on board with keto, find support elsewhere. Get into the habit of intuitive eating as much of the time as you can. If you have a stronger body odor than normal or maybe have stinky feet, raise your magnesium levels and electrolyte levels in general and drink more water overall. Take away any feelings of restriction you might have when doing keto, otherwise, you won’t be able to sustain it.
