ENTREATED by the Father...Then what? Luke 15:28 (S2-Episode #2)

I never realized that BOTH prodigal sons get the father who GOES OUT to each of them.

So the older son at this visit is ENTREATED.  It means to be called to his side; to plead, appeal, urge and exhort.  This older son now has a spiritual decision to make:  Do I listen and hear this appeal from the father? Do I agree and admit that I am now the lost one?  Do I have the willingness to receive the call and correction of the father?  

The older son does none of that good stuff.  He doubles down on his lostness by further separating himself from his father and his brother.  He rejects the reorientation of the father's teaching message:

• you are estranged
• all that is mine is yours
• you are always with me.

His response?  Yikes.
