John 8:51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death."
This is the 5th reference in John 7-8 to "my word".
What word did Jesus speak that if one keeps it, they won’t see death? I think it is both of these.

John 7:37-38. Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" AND
John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."
If you never want to die? Hold fast to both words. Believe in Him for living water and follow Him as the Light of the world.
These verses in Hebrews came to mind as I thought about never dying. Hebrews 2:14-15. “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.” Those who believe and trust in Jesus do not need to be afraid of death. It’s not happening to them. Death is separation from God, and Jesus said He is the life. Yes, our bodies (our temporary tents) wear out and can be destroyed because of sin, but we transition into a permanent new body with Jesus. Those who fear death can be enslaved by Satan and evil people who use that fear to control them for personal gain. We are watching it happen on a global scale. Perfect love casts out this fear and sets us free to live and love with Jesus! Hallelujah!!
