Why do our gums bleed? Is it possible to reverse tooth decay? Is plaque okay to leave on the teeth? Why are root canals problematic and what other options do we have? Is sugar the main culprit for dental decay and other issues?
Dentist Marc DiNola answers these questions and more in today's episode. He offers tips for prevention of tooth problems, primarily by adding in nutrient-dense foods in the diet. He recommends including, for example, Gouda cheese, organ meats, and fat from pastured animals. He explains how foods rich in vitamin K, in particular, can keep teeth strong with the proper fluid flow.
Marc also explains the concept of meridians -- connections between our teeth and particular organs and blood supply--and he offers this as one reason he is not a proponent of root canals, since the dead teeth affect the energy flow to other parts of the body.
