The First Widely Reported Alien Cattle Mutilation Case is Steeped in Controversy, Mystery

A deep dive into the alleged kidnapping and mutilation of a young cow by apparent alien beings that allegedly occurred on April 19, 1897, in Leroy, Kansas. During the great airship mystery of 1896-97, a well-respected lawyer and teacher named Alexander Hamilton reported that one night he discovered a 300-foot-long cigar-shaped UFO hovering over his property. Inside the brightly lit craft were six “hideous people.” A cable from the craft was wrapped around the neck of a young heifer, trying to pull the beast toward it. However, the cow was simultaneously caught up in a wire fence. Hamilton, along with his son and another man, cut the animal loose from the wire fence, and watched in disbelief as the craft flew away with the cow in tow. The cow was later discovered in a different location dead and totally mutilated.
