19. St Joseph, a life of self-giving

The Feast of St Joseph is a celebration of self-giving to God. St Joseph’s life and person are immensely rich precisely because he gave himself completely to God. We get the courage to give ourselves completely to God by contemplating God’s self-giving to us in Christ. This is what St Joseph did.
