EP 274: A Fun Hang with Sports Journalist Sarah Spain

Sarah Spain is a rockstar. She's an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sports journalist for the last two decades, with a dozen-plus years at ESPN, working as a radio and podcast host, television personality, producer and writer.

Spain is on the Gatorade Women's Advisory Board and was formerly a minority owner of the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League. Also, did I mention that she was a heptathlete in college?

But it’s her amazing sense of humor and love for women’s sports that’s made me a fan since day one. Cue amazing news. On Wednesday July 17th, iHeart launches “Good Game with Sarah Spain” — a daily women’s sports podcast that will keep you up to date with the biggest stories, debates, scores and stars in the WNBA, NWSL, Olympics and more.

She’s the perfect person to lead the charge and I had an absolute blast hanging out with her. We talk about her new show, Olympics, WNBA All-Stars, Spain’s Red Stars at Wrigley and the Mount Rushmore of Women’s Sports. Plus, Olympian Nikki Hiltz is the feel good moment of the week! Enjoy!
