Welcome back to the BNP everyone and thank you for joining! To my patrons: you all are the hop of the antelope jackrabbit and the air vacuum in my water bottle- I wouldn't be spry enough to evade hawks nor would I be able to stay cold for a long time in the desert with you. You are appreciated.

This episode is a throwback hodge-podge style ep. You already know I deliver those zany audio tidbits. They took me forever so hopefully you like them, and they include an original poem this week.

In addition, I open up about the grieving process I am currently moving through, and discuss the nature of bereavement, as well as techniques for navigating these icy cold and treacherous waters. This discussion leads me into a primer on Sisu (literally: guts), the Finnish art of grit, tenacity, courage and stubborn determination, against any and all odds. Even when you know you will not succeed, sisu drives you forward cheerfully and with indomitable conviction. And sometimes, the magick and power of sisu makes the impossible possible.

Stay tuned to the end because I include a recent Barbarian Yak Fest segment with the inimitable Dr. Sylvie Salinger where we discuss the implications of a vaccine-derived strain of polio being detected in a London sewer, as well as the dangers of having the gargantuan and predatory financial firms BlackRock and Vanguard in total control of the U.S. (and increasingly global) food supply.

Quick note: unbeknownst to me, my good mic became unplugged for a couple of this week's segments. I did what I could with the audio but you'll notice a small difference in richness of tone. My apologies- hectic weekend.
