Is abortion a losing issue for the GOP?

A widely held belief in the GOP is that the abortion issue is a losing issue for conservatives, but is it? Hopkins County Public Schools have seen weeks of delay when it comes to their start date. Finally, I go over JCPS' return to school plan as Democrats are blaming the legislature for their liberal school policy failures.
